Next generation of life Saving appliances and systems for saFE and swift evacuation operations on high capacity PASSenger ships in extreme scenarios and conditions
Crowd Dynamics International (CDI) is proud to be part of SafePASS, an innovative European project which aims to create safer and faster evacuation processes in large cruise ships using advanced technology.
SafePASS will radically redefine evacuation processes as well as the evacuation systems, equipment and even future ship design. Through this project, the international regulations for passenger ships in all environments will be influenced by the project's results.
At the core of SafePASS is an integrated system which will collectively monitor, process and inform crew and passengers of the optimal evacuation routes during emergency. It will respond to any situation that occurs on the ship, taking into account where passengers are located, how fire or flooding will propagate, calculate risk to the vessel and can adapt the evacuation strategy in real-time. Advanced life saving equipment is being developed that can work alongside and connect to the system to reduce risk and increase safety on board. For more information please click here.
