The Qatar Cultural and Sports Hub (QCSH) will contain a number of key venues to be used for the FIFA 2022 World Cup. Crowd Dynamics provided inputs to the detailed masterplan of this varied 600ha site as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The study involved establishing pedestrian and crowd movement principles based on local and international guidance and data collection of case studies.

These were applied to predicted peak occupancies in event and legacy modes to inform the design of public spaces within the distinct precincts of the site.  

The capacity of the proposed pedestrian routes connecting the site with parking and public transit hub was assessed for different modes of operation, informed by static and dynamic modelling.
