Research was carried out on behalf of the FA Premier League. Crowd Dynamics assessed the risk associated with persistent standing in Premier League stadia around the UK. This project used specialised modelling tools which identified possible causes of crowd collapses in stands and placed the risk in context with other risks around football grounds. The lessons learnt  from the analysis can be applied to any event where a tiered seating or grandstand is used.
