The BATNEEC principles are simple. Where a pen and paper technique are the more appropriate - you should use that approach. Simulations/animations and computerised systems should be applied ONLY where the problem can be defined under the BATNEEC principles.

Model building is a skill and there are some basic principles end users need to be aware of before engaging in expensive simulations/animation or computer generation of complex systems.

If you cannot break the model down into component parts on a white board - then a computer simulation isn't really helping to define the nature of the either the problem or the solution.

We run a wide range of training courses on how to construct models of complex spaces.
