School Circulation Modelling and Fire Engineering
The Circulation Design Consultancy (CDC) provides a pupil flow simulation service for new school designs. Simulating schools before occupation enables an understanding of where, when and why corridors and stairs will become congested. Informing design, the service helps ensure comfortable flow conditions exist for new schools (answering new BSF requirements) and space savings are made where pupil flows are low. CDC also provides fire engineering for schools. Although a separate service, employing CDC for both services enables the evacuation design to be fully integrated into the design for normal day-to-day use.
