Congratulations to the event team on another successful event this year.

Aberdeen 2006/2007 New Year Event (Hogmanay)

Due to the bad weather across most of Britain ALL events in Scotland were cancelled - EXCEPT Aberdeen. Crowd Dynamics Ltd. were the Safety Coordinators for the event which was a great success.

The event was free however a wrist band was issued on entry and returned on exit DURING the event. Given the programme people visited the event area and left throughout the night. By using wristbands we could ensure that the area NEVER exceeded the safe capacity. Entry was limited to ONE location (Union Street) as shown in the diagram above. The information leaflets were distributed prior to the event and during the event to keep the public informed on safety information and transportation details.
